We don’t have an exact release date but according to VideoETA, the horror sequel HOSTEL: PART III will head to DVD in December. Not sure there was ever any talk of a theatrical release but if you were going to give the film the home video treatment, why not release it sometime this month? You know, closer to Halloween!
Anywho, HOSTEL: PART III revolves around a Vegas bachelor party that turns grisly when the groom learns that his longtime best friend has targeted him for ritual murder. It’a a little different then the original premise Eli Roth drew up but given the fact that the director has long distanced himself from the franchise, anything goes!
Directed by Scott Spiegel this time around, the film stars Kip Pardue, Thomas Kretschmann, John Hensley, Sarah Habel, Barry Livingston, Kelly Thiebaud, Brain Hallisay, Skyler Stone, Danny Jacobs, Chris Coy, Alicia Vela-Bailey and Gordon Michaels.
The first HOSTEL film was released back in 2005 and was written and directed by Eli Roth. It went on to gross $80.5M during its theatrical run on a budget of only $4.8M. The success of the film garnered a sequel which Lionsgate released back in 2007 but didn’t come close to the success of the original only banking $35M at the box office.
